Under CSR, Keran block gets Solar Lights, School Bus, Life Saving Ambulance

KUPWARA: The District Administration Kupwara today organized a meeting of authorities of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) and concerned District Officers for the commissioning of various equipment to block Keran under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan. General Manager (HR-CSR) IOC, Arif Akhtar; Assistant Commissioner Development Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Planning Officer and others concerned were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, several Memorandum of Agreements (MoA) were signed between the IOC and concerned District Officers for the commissioning of Solar Lights, School Bus and a Life Saving Ambulance to border block Keran of district Kupwara. These things are being provided by Indian Oil Corporation under its CSR initiative.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner expressed her gratitude towards the IOC for their positive gesture by way of facilitating the far-flung area of border block Keran with essential equipment. She also expressed gratitude towards Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for prioritizing Kupwara district and facilitating the deal between IOC and District Administration.

General Manager (HR-CSR) IOC, Arif Akhtar also spoke and highlighted various measures taken by the Corporation under its CSR initiative. He also assured to extend more support to other areas of this far-flung border district in future.
