Faculty of Fisheries Rangil celebrates Graduation Day for 2024 BFSc pass-out students

GANDERBAL: The Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil, Ganderbal, celebrated its graduation day today for the 2024 BFSc pass-out students with great enthusiasm and pride at Rangil Campus, here.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Vice-Chancellor SKUAST Kashmir Prof. (Dr.) Nazir Ahmad Ganai as the Chief Guest, and Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Shyambir, as the Guest of Honour.

Director Education SKUAST-Kashmir Prof. (Dr.) Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Dean Students Welfare Prof. (Dr.) Neelofar Banday, Dean Faculty of Fisheries Prof. (Dr.) Farooz Ahmad Bhat, as well as all Heads of Divisions, faculty members, officers of Faculty of Fisheries and the graduating students were also present on the occasion.

Speaking in the event, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Nazir Ahmad Ganai praised the graduates for their efforts and urged them to think innovatively and contribute positively to society. He emphasized their role as ambassadors of SKUAST-Kashmir.

The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the students and promised full support for the development of the SKUAST-K Rangil campus. He also acknowledged the university’s excellence in producing top talent, especially in fisheries science.

Earlier, Dean Faculty of Fisheries, Prof. (Dr.) Farooz Ahmad Bhat delivered a warm welcome to the dignitaries and spoke about the vital role of the fisheries sector.

He highlighted the achievements of the graduating batch and underscored the need for continuous learning and leadership in fisheries.

Director Education Prof. (Dr.) Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi stressed the importance of quality education in fisheries science and encouraged the students to use their skills for the betterment of society and the nation.

Graduating students expressed their gratitude to the guests and shared reflections on their educational journey.

On the occasion Vice-chancellor and Deputy Commissioner along with other dignitaries inaugurated the Vice-Chancellors Sports festival; besides, two books titled Communication and Journalism along with Fisheries Management were released on the occasion.
