Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Thursday.
He said at a checkpoint established at Railway Crossing Bypass Road Amargrah (Sopore), police arrested three persons after 696 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon and 24 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from their possession.
They were been identified as Ashiq Hussain Lone, son of Ghulam Hassan Lone of Hadipora Rafiabad; Mohammad Imran, son of Mehfooz Ali Choudhary of Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, West Delhi; and Imran Ali, son of Siraj-ud-Din Idras, resident of Doshpur Kunwan, Kheda Wazir Alam Ajmatpur, Uttar Pradesh.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo for investigation.
