Traffic movement on Sinthan-Kishtwar road temporarily suspended: Officials

Srinagar: Due to snowfall and adverse weather conditions, officials have confirmed that the Sinthan-Kishtwar road will remain temporarily suspended.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that, in view of fresh snowfall at Sinthan top, traffic movement on the Kishtwar-Anantnag route via Sinthan Pass (NH-244) is temporarily suspended.

SDM Chatroo Kishtwar, Nayeem Ur Rehman, stated that due to torrential rain and moderate snowfall at Sinthan Top, traffic movement for commuters towards Kashmir via Sinthan Top has been suspended until further notice.

This decision has been made to prevent any eventuality and ensure the safety of commuters. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice, he added.
