Srinagar: A woman lost her life, while seven others were injured in a road accident in the Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Sunday.
An official told the news agency Kashmir Scroll that an accident occurred at Chursoo Awantipora, in which eight people were injured and taken to PHC Awantipora.
He mentioned that at PHC Awantipora, doctors declared one woman, namely Sumi Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Panzgam, brought dead.
Additionally, he noted that among the injured persons, three patients have been referred to SMHS SGR for further treatment, while four of the injured are receiving treatment at PHC Awantipora and are stable.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
