2 held for theft in Anantnag
Srinagar: Police in Anantnag have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in theft and have recovered stolen property from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Thursday.
He said Police Station Kokernag received a written complaint from one Ruby Akhter, wife of Mohammad Iqbal Waza of Sagam Kokernag about the theft in her home, following which a case (FIR No 30/2024 under section 454, 380 IPC) was registered.
During investigations, police arrested two suspected persons — Faizan Gulzar Lone, son of Gulzar Ahmad Lone of Magraypora Achabal, and Bilal Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie of Nagam Kokernag, and recovered stolen property from their possession, police said.
