Srinagar: A driver of an excavator (JCB) lost his life after coming under rubble of a landslide in Khonmoh area of Srinagar district late Monday night.
Reports reaching here said that an excavator with a driver came underneath a landslide during some excavation work in the Kahnmoh area.
They said that soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched and after hectic efforts the body of the driver was retrieved. He has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad.
Police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
