Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in south Kashmir’s Kulgam and Anantnag districts and recovered contraband substances from their possession, police spokesperson informed Thursday.
He said at Nihama, one Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Chogalpora Manzgam, was arrested after 340 grams of cannabis powder was recovered from his possession.
At a Tulkhan Crossing Sangam, Reyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar of Hassanpora Taveela was arrested after 12 bottles of Codeine Phosphate syrup were recovered from his possession.
Cases have been registered at respective police stations in this regard for further investigations, police said.
