Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman informed Monday.
He said at a checkpoint at Azadgunj Baramulla, police intercepted and later arrested one Nazir Ahmad Gagroo, son of Abdul Khaliq of Arampora Azadgunj Baramulla, after 20 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession.
At Bijhama Baramulla, one Iqbal War, son of Ahmad War, resident of Gujjarpati Lachipplora Bijhama, was arrested after 3.2 Kgs of cannabis powder was recovered from his possession.
Cases have been registered in both these instances for further investigations.
