The rally, led by Tanvir Sadiq, started in the morning from Mill Stop Bagh Ali Mardar Zadibal and passed through Sheri Bhat, Alamgiri Bazar, Hawal Chowk, Badam Wari, Sangin Darwaza, Bachchi Darwaza, Generali Bagh, Khaskhash Bagh, Saida Kadal, Ashai Bagh, Hazratbal and ended at Mazar-i-Qaid Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Naseem Bagh, Hazratbal.

Party’s State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, Additional Spokesperson Sheikh Ovaise, Youth Leaders Sheikh Shahid Kitab, Waqar Khan, Block President Mushtaq Beg and other functionaries were also present on the occasion.

While talking to the press on the sidelines of the event, Tanvir said, “The bike rally is not a stand-alone effort but part of a series of efforts taken by the party to address the growing menace of drug addiction and its prevalence among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier the party had constituted a committee which after exhaustive discussions with the subject matter experts in the field of medicines, and community health has submitted a report on the pressing issue.”

He also expressed gratitude to the civil and police administration for making the event successful. He further said that this small effort will go a long way in contributing significantly to the remarkable success of the party’s underway efforts to curb the menace. “It is imperative that we unite and take a stand against this growing threat that has now reached our very doorsteps. It is time for us to awaken to reality,” he added.
