The duo defeated Kerala, MP, Tamilnadu, and Andra Pradesh in the earlier events thus qualifying for the medal.

Hailing the scintillating win, the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Soft Tennis Association described the performance of Sidhani Singh as yet another feat registered by the talented sportsperson from the region at the national level.

Incharge General Secretary, JKASTA, Asif Altaf, while felicitating the promising players at Jammu, said their win has come as a big morale booster for the budding players of Jammu who will be inspired by their performance to give their best in the chosen discipline of sports. This will motivate the youngsters towards soft tennis and imbibe in them the spirit of competition in true ethos of sportsmanship, he added.

Asif complimented both the players for bringing laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, saying this will indeed serve as an inspiration for others to emulate.

Pertinently, Sidhani Singh has already won a bronze medal in the Senior Soft Tennis National championship while Shreemai Bhat had won silver in Sub Junior Nationals.

Asif Altaf has expressed gratitude to the J&K Sports Council, especially its Secretary Nuzhat Gul, for extending all support to the budding players and the Association as well.

Both these winning players along with other sportspersons are being trained by International player and Coach, Indu Bhushan Padha, at the Soft Tennis Khello Center, M A Stadium.
