Horticulture deptt organizes awareness, capacity building prog on HADP

SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Horticulture, Rajbagh Srinagar, today organized a highly informative and impactful Awareness/Capacity Building Programme on the “Holistic Agriculture Development Programme” (HADP).

The event aimed to equip officers of the Directorate and field officers of the Department of Horticulture, including the Chief Horticulture Officer, DLSMS, and Horticulture Development Officers, with valuable insights into effectively implementing the HADP for the benefit of farmers and the agriculture sector.

The programme was presided over by the Director of Horticulture Kashmir, G. R. Mir.

During the programme, experts from the Department of Horticulture delivered comprehensive presentations, shedding light on various critical aspects of implementing the “Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).” Participants were provided with valuable knowledge and best practices to ensure the successful execution of the programme.

Director Horticulture emphasized the need to achieve the set targets for the current year under the HADP. He stressed that the success of the programme would lead to significant improvements in agricultural practices and boost the socio-economic condition of farmers in the region.

Furthermore, Director of Horticulture emphasized that all officers must adhere to the implementation guidelines of HADP in both letter and spirit. It is crucial to maintain transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the implementation process to maximize the positive impact on the agricultural community.

The Awareness/Capacity Building Programme received enthusiastic participation from the officers, reflecting their commitment to advancing the horticulture sector in the region and their dedication to the welfare of farmers.
