Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said a police party intercepted a suspicious person near Emergency Hospital Qazigund and recovered 7.5 kgs of poppy straw concealed in a nylon bag from his possession. Identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Saiyana Das, resident of RS Pora Jammu, the accused was arrested and a case registered.
