Sopore: A boy was rescued after he allegedly jumped into river Jhelum at Seelo area in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Tuesday. 

News agency KNO reported that a boy was found by locals attempting to jump into river Jhelum at Seelo bridge in Sopore.

“After noticing his movement as doubtful, locals rushed towards him but by then the job had already jumped into the river. However, he was immediately rescued and taken out of the water,” the news agency reported. 

Meanwhile, officials while confirming the incident said that the boy was shifted to the hospital for necessary medical treatment.
