Pashu Dhan Kisan Credit Card Yojana, a scheme made by the Haryana government to buy cattle, is commendable. But it cannot be denied that nowadays instead of homes, most cows are seen roaming the streets, streets, and villages. The main reason for this is the decrease in the utility of cattle in agricultural work and the ban on animal fairs by the government. Despite spending crores of rupees, the governments have not been able to succeed in bringing the milk revolution to the state. As a result, even today people are forced to use chemical-packed milk and milk products at home.

Cattle farmers never got the right price for milk. Animal husbandry is becoming increasingly expensive. When milch animals become infertile, people leave them to wander. The government is building cattle sheds for sheep and goats and cows along with piggeries. But these steps are not enough. How can the milk revolution be successful, out of about seven thousand villages, dhanis, towns, and cities in the state, veterinary hospitals have been opened in only less than half of the villages.

A large area of the state is still such that there is no veterinary hospital for veterinary treatment. Apart from this, if an animal falls sick at night, then where to get its treatment, this is a serious problem for the animal parents. The posts of doctors and VLDA are lying vacant in veterinary hospitals which are not being filled. In such a situation, animal herders are not getting the right facilities. In case of the death of a milch animal due to snakebite and electrocution, doctors recommend financial help to the animal herder.

If the veterinarians do not prepare any such report in case of the death of a pregnant milch animal due to serious illness, the cattle rearers have to bear the loss of thousands of rupees. At present, no such facility is being provided by the government to cattle rearers. Since the non-practice allowance is given to the veterinary surgeon by adding it to the basic salary, his salary is in lakhs, while other employees including VLDA will get Rs. Pay scale is a matter of putting cumin in the camel’s mouth.

Cattle owners have to shell out money every time such staff is called home to check on their sick cattle. Due to very few medicines being available in veterinary hospitals, animal parents have to buy expensive medicines from medical stores. One is the purchase of medicines, and on top of that, the staff also have to pay. In such a situation, what facilities are being provided to the cattle rearers by the government, so that the milk revolution can be brought into the state? Under the National Artificial Insemination Scheme, cattle rearers have been given free insemination facilities at their doorstep. Under this, animals are tagged. It means to say that by putting this tag on the ears of milch animals, their online registration is also being done.

The objective of this scheme is to increase milk production by the progeny of high quality and best breed. The government has set a target of providing free pregnancy facilities to the cattle rearers of each district with the help of best-breed semen quality to breedable cows and buffaloes.

The government is giving recognition to private institutions for VLD diploma courses, from where thousands of diploma holders pass out every year, but due to the formation of no council for the registration and operation of the diploma of these diploma holders, they have to face huge problems. have to do. This is very important for providing veterinary services to livestock in remote rural areas.

Along with this, the construction of new veterinary hospitals and the appointment of necessary staff in them, availability of essential medicines, insurance of each animal, organization of animal money fairs at the block level, and providing all possible help to the parents, it is necessary that they get the right price of milk. In earlier years, agricultural fairs were organized for the convenience of farmers and animal herders. In fairs, cattle rearers were given milch animals on subsidy.

Tools, agricultural seeds, medicines, and fertilizers were given in veterinary clinics. This is rarely seen in present times. People are turning away from animal husbandry due to the lack of facilities in veterinary hospitals. Animal husbandry is a major source of employment in a state like Haryana, where there is a big problem of unemployment. That’s why there should be a separate provision for this in this budget.
