 SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today inaugurated a district-level orientation cum training programme under the holistic development of agriculture and allied sectors at DAK Bungalow Khanabal here.

Addressing the participants, the Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of projects under the holistic document. He said under the holistic document, the department is aiming to create an Agri-skilled human resource so that the implementation of different projects could be done in a more comprehensive manner.

He said that this document (holistic document) will be a game changer in the overall development of the agriculture sector in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the projects have been designed in such a way that the potential in all the allied wings would be explored to their capacity.

Director Agriculture impressed upon the officers of agriculture and allied departments to work in close coordination so that the set targets under different projects, the desired results could be achieved.

He said that the orientation cum training programme under a holistic document is aimed to raise awareness among the offices regarding various approved projects so that the same could be implemented on the ground in a comprehensive manner.

The Training Programme was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Anantnag, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Agriculture Officer Extension Anantnag, Mushroom Development Officer Anantnag, Area Development Officer, Anantnag. District Level SMSs and SD-level officers also participated in the programme.

Earlier, Director Agriculture visited Ganderbal and addressed the officers of agriculture and allied departments in a district-level orientation cum Training programme.
