Mughal Road, connecting Kashmir Valley with Rajouri and Poonch, received a fresh doze of snowfall

Srinagar: The authorities have closed Mughal road for traffic for this winter owing to heavy snowfall.

DSP Traffic, Rajouri-Poonch range, Aftab Bukhari said that there was heavy snowfall on both sides of Pir Ki Gali.

Bukhari said that the condition of the road was also slippery.

“Owing to heavy snowfall, it is difficult to open the road for traffic this winter,” he said.

The road usually remains closed during peak winter every year in view of heavy snowfall in the upper reaches of the Pir Panjal mountain range.
