Srinagar: Coming down hard at the current bureaucratic regime in Jammu and Kashmir, senior vice president of Peoples Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil said the government of the day lacks credibility at all levels.

Vakil said that the LG government is very active on Twitter and other social media sites, but on the ground, it has lost both moral and constitutional rights to continue.

Vakil while addressing party workers’ meetings in Sopore, Botango, Adipora, and Zalura in Rafiabad, Vakil said that LG led government has thrown J&K into a mess in every sphere. “How long will a state or union territory be handed over to a chosen bureaucratic setup? Will this type of autocracy be allowed in other states like Gujarat, UP, or elsewhere,” Vakil added.

Vakil said that unemployment has reached 32 % which is the highest in the country.

“The recruitment process lacks both credibility and transparency and all the recruitment examinations have come under scanner leaving the aspiring applicants hopeless,” he added.

Vakil said the corruption has reached its peak in Jammu and Kashmir but those who speak against this handful of corrupt bureaucrats are silenced by different tactics.

Vakil called for a comprehensive employment package for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir before the elections are announced adding the holding of elections must not be delayed now.

“Its further delay will expose the democratic set up of India internationally that this great country under BJP has snatched people of J&K of their electoral government,” Vakil added.
