Srinagar: Police on Friday said it has arrested two drug peddlers in Pulwama and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party intercepted a vehicle (DL3CBQ-4882) at a checkpoint at Babagund Pulwama. During checking, police recovered 10 Diazepam injections and cash of Rs 9200 from the possession of two persons onboard this vehicle.
Both persons identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, son of Mohammad Abdullah Malik, and Haris Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Malik, residents of Dalipora Pulwama, were arrested on the spot. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, police said, adding a case has been registered in Police Station Pulwama and further investigation initiated.
