JKTPO participates in 54th IHGF Delhi Fair 2022
JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) has participated in the 54th IHGF Delhi Fair 2022 edition at Delhi, a flagship B2B event of the Handloom & Handicraft sector organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH).
JKTPO sponsored & facilitated 10 Handloom & Handicraft exhibitors to showcase their products to enhance their visibility during the exhibition. Jammu and Kashmir Industries Limited (JKI) & J&K State Handloom & Handicraft Dev. Corp. showcased a variety of unique range of GI products of J&K were displayed at the event viz. Pashmina Shawl, Paper Machie, Hand knotted Carpets, Sozani work, Woollens, Walnut made products, etc.
54th IHGF Delhi Fair 2022 edition presents a comprehensive collection of home, lifestyle, fashion, textiles & furniture products for the season ahead from over 2000+ manufactures & exporters. Held at the plush India Expo Centre, Delhi-NCR, India, the IHGF Delhi Fair exhibits over 2000+ new product expressions and more than 300 design developments across 14 product categories. This was a one-stop sourcing destination for retailers, importers, wholesalers, and design professionals.
Exhibitors received very good responses and various B2B meets were held with national & international visitors/buyers. Ample business leads have been generated by the exhibitors which will help to generate good business out of it.
Khalid Jahangir, MD, JKTPO emphasized that the showcase of J&K Handloom & Handicraft products in such kind of big events helps to improve the overall business ecosystem of trade and export in UT.
He stressed the importance of promoting GI-tagged authentic handloom & Handicraft products of J&K at the national & international levels to curb the competition from unauthentic products.
He said that JKTPO will participate in many more such events in the future to give opportunities to sellers of J&K at national and international levels.
