The EDP is being organized by the Institute for the aspiring female entrepreneurs of district Pulwama, in which 45 female candidates have registered. During the 10- Day EDP, the candidates will be apprised about basic business concepts like business plan formulation, marketing plans, accounts management, and many other topics of relevance.

The scheme is aimed to provide financial assistance to young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions. This will empower and encourage women for setting up income-generating units for activities either in the manufacturing, services, and trading sectors.

After the successful completion of the training programme, these registered female candidates will get help in setting up an enterprise or for expansion and modernization of existing units. The project report will also have provisions for the acquisition of fixed assets (Plant & Machinery, equipment, furniture & fixtures) to meet working capital needs for the purchase of various products, equipment and tools.

The trained female candidates shall also be facilitated to avail of financial assistance to the extent of Rs 5.00 lakh. This initiative will enhance their socio-economic status and leads to the integration of women in nation-building.
