The scheme is a special endeavour of Mission Youth, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, to empower young women, enabling them to become self-reliant.

The EDP is being organized by the Institute for the aspiring female entrepreneurs of district Pulwama, in which 45 female candidates have registered. During the 10- Day EDP, the candidates will be apprised about basic business concepts like business plan formulation, marketing plans, accounts management, and many other topics of relevance.

The scheme is aimed to provide financial assistance to young women for setting up gainful self-employment ventures suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions. The trained female candidates shall also be facilitated to avail of financial assistance to the extent of Rs 5.00 lakh. This initiative will enhance their socio-economic status and leads to the integration of women in nation-building.
