LCMA conducts demolition drive in various Srinagar areas

SRINAGAR: The Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA) today carried out a demolition drive in the areas of Dalgate, Lal Bazar, Botshah Mohalla, Saderbal, Rainawari, Nigeen and Zoonimar.

During the drive, two 2nd storeys, two single storeys, one 3rd storey, one 2nd storey (wooden) and one tin walling were demolished/vacated. Moreover, one illegally raised structure/shop was re-sealed at Nowpora, Srinagar.

Further, legal action against the violators was also initiated.

Meanwhile, people in these areas have been warned not to resort to any illegal constructions/encroachments and were asked to get proper building permission from the competent Authority before taking any construction in hand.

During the drive the Police Contingent from PCR, Police Station Nigeen/Lal Bazar/Khanyar & Naib Tehsildar LCMA was accompanying the drive.
