Srinagar, Sep 15: Jammu and Kashmir registered 30 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours which took the cumulative infection tally to 4,78,871, officials said Thursday.

They said 21 fresh cases were reported from Kashmir valley and nine from the Jammu division.

Providing district-wise breakup for these positive cases for today, they informed that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 10 cases, Kupwara five while Baramulla and Pulwama reported two cases each, and Budgam and Anantnag districts one casex each.

Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu district reported four cases and Reasi reported five fresh cases today.

Moreover, 58 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals —  50 from Kashmir and eight from Jammu division – in the last 24 hours after their recuperation.

Officials also informed that 14,022 doses of COVID vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across Jammu and Kashmir till date to 2,44,98,577.

Currently there are 269 active positive cases in J&K, including 155 in Kashmir and 114 in Jammu division. So far cumulatively 4,73,818 infected persons have recovered and 4,784 have died – 2,433 in Kashmir and 2,351 in Jammu division.
