JAMMU: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday released a wildlife publication titled Checklist of Mammals of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
The publication was released during a meeting with a delegation of wildlife ecologists led by Muzaffar Kichloo.
The delegation briefed the Chief Minister about their ongoing and upcoming research projects related to wildlife and biodiversity in the region.
Omar Abdullah appreciated the work of the ecologists and underscored the importance of scientific research and conservation in preserving the rich biodiversity of Jammu and Kashmir.
