Day four of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign: Districts, Units of JKP organize Tiranga rallies, distribute National Flags

Srinagar: On the 4th day of the Campaign Har Ghar Tiranga under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav several districts and units of Jammu and Kashmir Police organized Tiranga rallies and events. 

Thousands of National Flags were distributed among the people to encourage them to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 76th year of Independence.

Bandipora Police today a mega Tiranga March was organized, which was flagged off by SSP Bandipora Mohmad Zahid. At the onset of the Tiranga march, SSP Bandipora administered a pledge to officers and jawans to abide by the ideals of the Constitution of India, respect the National flag and uphold the unity & Integrity of India. 

The Tiranga Rally started from DPL Bandipora, passed through the banks of Madhumati river, and culminated at District Police Headquarters Bandipora, where SSP Bandipora addressed the participants and congratulated the officers and jawans for making the march a success and impressed upon them to encourage the public and their own family members to make Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign successful. 

He also highlighted the sacrifices and role of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom & integrity of this country. The march was also attended by DySP Hqrs Bandipora Shafat Mohmad, DySP DAR Bandipora Ishfaq Alam, DySP PC Bandipora Zafar Mahdi, and other officers/officials of Bandipora Police and NoKs of Martyrs.

Kulgam Police today organized special Tiranga rallies with District administration Kulgam, in which District Police Kulgam, CRPF, and hundreds of students of various educational institutions participated. In Kulgam Town Tiranga Bike Rally started from DPL Kulgam in which SSP Kulgam along with other senior Police officers of Kulgam Police participated in the Rally and it culminated at Ganta Ghar Kulgam followed by a symposium on the topic of the significance of “HAR GHAR JHANDA”. 

Different types of Rallies were organised at Qazigund, Yaripora, DH Pora, Devsar by Concerned Officers of Police & CAPF along with civilians. Besides patriotic songs, storytelling on the importance of the National Flag and Har Ghar Tiranga were part of the programme. SSP Kulgam congratulated the participants for their active participation.

The Students, Senior citizens & various Civil Societies also participated in the programme. Tricolors in the streets and Officers & Students & Civil Societies on the wheels, the event sought to heighten the sense of patriotism among citizens while sending out a social message.

Awantipora Police organized multiple Tiranga rallies across Police district Awantipora in which youth from different areas, Police officers, and Jawnas participated. They sang patriotic songs at these rallies.

Doda Police organized motor vehicle really in Doda town which started from District Police Lines Doda with the participation of Police Band of DPL Doda and contingents of District Police in nearly sixty vehicles which includes Four-wheeler and two-wheeler. It concluded back at DPL Doda after moving into the whole town.

Budgam Police today launched a special campaign to paste stickers of tri-color with Independence Day messages on vehicles as a part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The event took place across all the Police stations of the district with policemen greeting the drivers and pasting stickers on their windshields. 

Budgam Police also distributed thousands of flags including small hand-held ones, conducted Tiranga rallies with students and citizens and organised Nukkad Nataks, to celebrate the association of people with the National Flag. Tomorrow on 15 Aug, Budgam police is organising a racing event titled “Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom”. Hundreds of youth and school children are expected to participate in the said event.

Kathua Police organized TIRANGA BIKE RALLY, today in the jurisdictional areas of NHW Police Stations including P/S Hiranagar, Rajbagh, Kathua, and Lakhanpur respectively, to celebrate 75 years of Independence in District Kathua. The Rally started at 7 AM from Londi Morh Hiranagar which among other officers was led by SSP Kathua Sh. R. C Kotwal along with Addl.SP Kathua Sh.Suresh Kumar Chib including other gazetted officers of Police and Civil Administration. 

The Tiranga Bike Rally culminates at Maharaja Gulab Singh Statute, Lakhanpur which witnessed a huge gathering with the participation of district police personnel along with more than 300 bikes led by various police officers/officials of district police Kathua and members of civil society. Moreover, before culminating this grand event “National Anthem” was sung with great fervor and enthusiasm and everybody raises the Slogan Bharat Mata ki Jai. More such rallies were also conducted in the jurisdictional areas of PS Billawar, Malhar, Basohli, Bani areas respectively.

District Police Reasi under the overall supervision of Amit Gupta SSP Reasi today distributed National Flags and Stickers across District Reasi to continue with the campaign Har Ghar Tiranga. The event was organized at all the Police Stations of District Reasi with an aim to raise awareness about the Azadi ka Amrit Mahatsov and Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the use of the National flag, and its display with respect in each and every house. The day started with the installation of Stalls at Prominent Places of district Reasi and the distribution of National flags and stickers among the people. 

Towns of the district i.e Katra, Reasi, Mahore Arnas, Chassana, Pouni, and Ransoo witnessed this innovative initiative of Reasi Police. Similar events were organized at Police Post levels in far-flung areas of the District where Police Officers visited the houses in rural areas and gifted the National flags to the people of the areas. To make the “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign” Successful District Police Reasi distributed around 12000 National Flags among the people and around 5000 Stickers were pasted on the Vehicles.

IRP-19th battalion Kathua under the direct supervision of SSP Benam Tosh Commandant today distributed five thousand national flags among the common people at different localities/villages across the district to generate patriotism and respect for the national flag. 

A large number of people belonging to all communities participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga intensive campaign and received national flags from SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP-19th battalion Kathua on the behalf of Jammu Kashmir Police at Chhan Morian, Bonaid, Chapper Morh, Guraha Mundian, Chadwal, Jasrota, Rajbagh, Mahi Chack, Padyari and Sherpur, and other places.
