‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’: Indian Army organizes Tri–sevices ExSM tour

Srinagar: As a run-up to the ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ (commemorating the bravery and valour of Indian Armed Forces during OP VIJAY), organised on July 26 each year, a Tri–sevices ExSM tour has been organised by the Indian Army.

“The group comprising 45 ExSM of all ranks are from all across India and will be visiting Srinagar, Kargil and Drass from July 03 to July 09, 2022,” said PRO (Defence) Srinagar.

“The group commenced their glorious tour from Udhampur, HQ Northern Command on 17 Jun 2022. In the Srinagar leg of the tour, the ExSM visited Chinar War Memorial,” the PRO said.

“The delegation headed by Lt Gen VK Chaturvedi (Retd) paid their obeisance to the fallen brethren by laying wreath and offering floral tributes. While sharing their experiences, they exuded pride and trust among serving soldiers who are keeping the Indian Flag flying high,” he said.
