GMC Baramulla takes cognizance of sanitary issues

Baramulla: Following the reports regarding pathetic sanitation of GMC Hospital Baramulla, the concerned authorities have started taking corrective measures.

Medical Superintendent Associate Hospital GMC Baramulla has called a meeting for ‘Mega Cleanliness Drive of Hospital and Whole Campus’, sources said, adding, that he has also approached MC Baramulla for assistance in this regard.

The meeting notice bearing No: No.:- AH-GMC/Bla/2022/ 1287-91 dated 25-06-2022 reads, “In view of Mega Cleanliness Drive of Hospital and whole Campus in the coming week, Executive Sanitation Committee of this hospital are requested to attend a meeting on 28-06-2022 at 11:00 AM sharp, to discuss various important issues regarding the overall status of sanitation of the hospital. Sanitation Contractor and In-charge Sweepers are also directed to attend the said meeting. Matter be treated as most urgent.”

A letter has been sent to MC Baramulla reading, “We again request your goodself to kindly depute atleast 50 personnel (Sanitary workers) from your department on 28-06-2022 to GMC Baramulla in view of Mega Cleanliness Drive of Hospital and whole Campus in the coming week.”
