Massive blaze erupts at B&J hospital, patients being evacuated
Srinagar: A massive fire broke out in Bone & Joint Hospital Barzulla Srinagar Friday late evening, reports reaching here said.
Sources said that the fire broke out from the emergency theatre and engulfed the building.
They said that the patients admitted at the were being shifted to JVC and other hospitals as the fire fighters are trying to douse the flames.
The incident has created panic all over with everyone worried about the patients, their attendants, doctors and other hospital staff.
Reports said that fire fighting operation is going on with full force and patients are being evacuated.
Medical Superintendent of B&J hospital, Dr. Suhail Ahmad told a local news agency KNO that the fire broke out from the emergency theatre at the hospital.
The fire has engulfed the building completely, he said, adding that the efforts are on to douse the flames.
