Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 686 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while six more persons succumbed to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, officials said.
Of the fresh cases, they said 374 were reported from Kashmir and 312 from the Jammu division, while as among the fresh deaths, four were reported from Jammu division and two from Kashmir.
Moreover, 3,168 COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 2,130 from Kashmir and 1,038 from Jammu division, they said.
No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, officials said.
On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 50,340 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 2,08,09,465.
According to the bulletin, so far out of 4,47,334 positive cases recorded cumulatively across the UT, currently there are 14,924 active positive cases here including 9,956 in Kashmir and 4,968 in Jammu division, while as 4,27,689 persons have recovered and 4,721 have died – 2,410 in Kashmir and 2,311 in Jammu division.
