PM-JAY is the world’s largest health insurance/assurance scheme fully financed by the government. It provides a cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India. Similarly, E Shram portal is the first-ever National Database of Unorganised Sector Workers (NDUW) created by the Ministry of Labour and Employment to register the unorganized workers.

An enthusiastic response was observed among the public who attended the registration camps with due adherence to COVID protocols and got themselves registered under the schemes.

The field functionaries deployed for the task also highlighted the importance of SEHAT scheme and E Shram Portal to motivate them to avail the necessary benefits under these welfare initiatives by the Government.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri has already asked all the concerned stakeholders that the targets under the schemes are to be achieved at the earliest so that all the families are registered in the schemes and may avail benefits under the same.
