Director H&H Kashmir clears promotions for the UT level posts

SRINAGAR: Department of Handicrafts and Handloom conducted a UT level DPC meeting on Saturday under the Chairmanship of Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir.

It was stated in a government communiqué that out of 22 newly created posts of Handloom Training Officers in UT of J&K, 20 posts were filled by promoting Assistant Handloom Training Officers  in the meeting. The Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir during the current Financial year 2021-22 had chaired 4 UT level DPCs & 02 Divisional level DPCs whereby total number of 156 officials of ministerial / executive and technical cadre of the department were cleared for promotions to the next higher level / grade as  promotions were pending since long. Thus all the issues regarding promotions of employees are almost resolved by the Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir.

Besides, Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir Director, Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu, Joint Director (H&H) Jammu, Joint Director (H&H) Kashmir, Deputy Director (H&H) Jammu and Deputy Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Jammu participated in the meeting.

The Jammu based officers attended the meeting through virtual mode.

Congratulating the officials, the Director Handicrafts & Handlooms Kashmir, Mahmood Ahmad Shah advised them to work with zeal and zest for the betterment of the artisan/weavers community.
