DG IMPA chairs valedictory function of “medium duration” training

Srinagar: Director General, J&K Institute of Management Planning Administration and Rural Development, Saurabh Bhagat, today chaired valedictory function of medium duration “Secretariat Assistants Training Course for Senior and Junior Assistants of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS)”.

This two-month training course was specially organised by GAD and IMPARD which began on September 6 and concluded here today.

While speaking on the occasion, Saurabh Bhagat highlighted the importance of Secretariat Assistants training courses being conducted regularly by J&K IMPARD. He said that capacity building of frontline functionaries of government shall always remain a priority for IMPARD. “For this reason, IMPARD provides medium duration training to Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants of various departments of J&K government to familiarize them with the provisions of Manual of Secretariat Procedure; Civil Services Regulation; General Financial Rules (GFR)-2017; Government e-Marketplace (GeM); Employees’ Conduct Rules; Classification, Control and Appeal Rules; Computer Basics; e-Office and e-Procurement; demography and geography of the UT of J&K,” he added.

The Director General congratulated the trainees for completing their training at IMPARD which, he said, would not only help them clear departmental examination but also enhance their efficiency in dealing with day to day office work.

He said that in the coming years IMPARD will try to clear all the backlog in relation to Secretariat Training that has resulted due to various circumstances. He informed that currently IMPARD is training about 1400 frontline functionaries at its Srinagar and Jammu offices.

The Director General also distributed certificates among the trainee participants. Director Trainings Kashmir, Dr. M.A. Khan and faculty was present on the occasion.
