Srinagar: Peoples Conference Spokesperson Adnan Ashraf Mir today exhorted the National Conference and its leadership to follow the same moral principles that they seek to impose on their political opponents

In a statement issued here, questioning the need for Farooq Sahib to fold hands in front of a staunch RSS leader and cabinet minister, he said that there is no constitutional obligation for an MP to attend the inauguration of a project.

“Every single day Farooq Sahib and the National Conference issues fatwas of RSS against their political opponents. The entities and individuals who do not accept Farooq sahib as a leader are labelled RSS. Yet true to his duplicitous character, he was bowing with folded hands in front of Senior BJP Leader and Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari. Either Nitin Gadkari is not from the RSS or the Abdallah’s have divorced all notions of ethicality and integrity — can Farooq Sahib clarify whether, in his eyes, Nitin Gadkari is an RSS leader?”, he asked.

Asserting that it is evident that since the investigations against Farooq sahib’s economic wrongdoings, the spokesperson said that National Conference and its leadership is holding secret and overt discussions with the RSS and BJP to ensure the investigations don’t continue.

“The Abdullah’s, who are bestowed with hundreds of security guards by New Delhi, feel no ignominy in bowing in front of RSS leaders, rubbing shoulders against cabinet ministers and seeking forgiveness for their economic wrongdoings from the BJP leadership. People of Kashmir know very well that it is the personal interest of Abdullah’s which makes them trample over the dignity of Kashmir. The desperation to attain forgiveness for his economic wrongdoings makes Farooq sahib bend over backwards in front of RSS leadership”, he added.

He further stated that the NC, through mischievous labelling, is creating fertile ground to facilitate the assassination of its political rivals.

“While National Conference indulges in double-deals and double-speak, day in and day out, the rivals of the National Conference are without evidence or logic given a false RSS tag. With the mischievous labelling, NC and its leadership are creating fertile ground to facilitate the assassination of its political rivals. We believe they are intentionally creating a basis for the assassination of our leaders and workers to intimidate us physically. To silence their political rivals by dispatching us to graveyards.,” he added.

Adnan exhorted the National Conference to follow the same moral principles that they seek to impose over their opponents.

“We as Peoples Conference think that there is nothing wrong with an MP attending such an event but the moralistic grandstanding of the Abdullah’s, who harbor the fanciful delusions of becoming the Moral Police in Kashmir, makes us question their participation at the event. Will the Abdallah’s follow the same moral principles that they seek to impose over their opponents? Are the great speeches of morality, integrity, sins and virtue given by Farooq sahib not applicable to His Highness?,” he asked.

He said that we do not wish to question morality and raise fingers at the million skeletons dangling in the closet of Abdullah’s.

“After all, what shame or morality can we expect from a party that blinded thousands of Kashmiris using pellet guns? The party snatched thousands of young men and women from their parents through bullets and PSA’s. For the sake of the dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, we urge the BJP and RSS leadership to accommodate the Abdullah’s and National Conference otherwise they will keep humiliating the 12 million people every single day”, he concluded.
