Jammu: Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Tuesday people of Jammu and Kashmir want restoration of their lost dignity.

He was speaking at the joining programme which was organised by Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh at Apni Party Office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.

In this programme, Senior Vice President, J&K Lubana Baradari, and National Conference’s Vice Chairman, SC/OBC Cell, Nirmal Singh joined Apni Party in presence of Ghulam Hassan Mir, and other senior leaders of the Party.

Welcoming him into the party, Mir, “People in Jammu and Kashmir are accepting the agenda of Apni Party and therefore, they are joining the party with this intention that this is the only party which secures the future of youth.”

He said: “The people are fed – up with other political parties as they feel that the Apni Party would lead J&K towards peace, development and prosperity.”

“People have lost their dignity with the abrogation of Art 370 and Art 35A and they want their dignity to be restored,” he said. He said that other political parties have exploited the emotions of people to return to power.

He said that the Apni Party has one agenda of development and equal treatment to all without any disparity. “The feeling of losing dignity is more in Jammu and the anger among the people is growing,” he added.

He said that “We are committed to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden section of society which remained neglected with their political, and social rights.”

He said that the Apni Party has strengthened its base in Jammu with the joining of people and prominent leaders who really want to take J&K out of the present situation.

Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, Ex-MLA Prem Lal, OBC State Coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra, SC State Coordinator, Bodh Raj Bhagat Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta, President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, State Youth Wing, General Secretary, Abhay Bakaya, Youth Wing, Provincial Coordinator, Vipul Bali, Provincial Vice President, Women Wing Rupali Rani, and others.
