Srinagar: An active militant of Lasher-e-Toiba was apprehended by a joint team of forces in Pachhaar area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that “acting on specific inputs about terrorist movement, a joint team of forces laid a Naka in Pachhaar area of Pulwama on Monday evening, and arrested a LeT terrorist.”
The official identified the arrested militant as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar of Kothipora, Chatergam Nowgam in district Budgam.
“One grenade besides other ammunition has been recovered from his possession,” the official said, adding that police have registered a case and further investigation has been initiated.
