Valedictory function of Range Level Volley ball tournament held at Anantnag

Srinagar: As part of ongoing country-wide celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’, the valedictory function of the Range Level Volleyball tournament was organised at Govt. Degree College Boys Anantnag, said a police spokesperson.

“In order to inculcate & promote sports spirit among the youth and build healthy Police-Public relations, besides taking forward youth-friendly policing initiative, Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme organized a Volleyball tournament-2021 at Govt. Degree College Boys Anantnag. The final match was played between Anantnag and Pulwama in which Anantnag team emerged winner by 2-1,” the spokesperson said.

“DIG South Kashmir Range, Abdul Jabbar, appreciated & awarded the participants from both the winner team as well as the run-up teams with trophies along with cash rewards. All the participant teams were also gifted Volley Ball kits. A good number of spectators witnessed the function and lauded the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police for organizing this event,” he said.

“Speaking on the concluding ceremony, DIG SKR Anantnag appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by the participants and assured that J&K Police will continue to provide sporting avenues to the youngsters,” he added.
