Div Com calls for 100% utilization of Covid management resources

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, Tuesday called for 100 percent utilization of Covid-management resources across all districts in Kashmir.

Div Com said this while chairing a weekly Covid-19 review meeting. The meeting among others was attended by Director SKIMS Soura, all Deputy Commissioners, CMOs through video conferencing, Mission Director NHM, GM DICs, Incharge  Isolation, DD Health, CMOs, Nodal Officer, Incharge CCRK and other also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, Div Com called for proper utilization of Covid management resources for containment virus spread and better mitigation, an official press release informed.

He said that bed capacity should be put to use even at Panchayat level. All facilities including ventilators at all health facilities are made functional for patient care, he said.

Div Com said the facilities created for testing including RAT and RTPCR and vaccination should also be put in use in full capacity as it would help not only in achieving progress in the vaccination but will also help in bringing down deaths in the Valley.

While pointing out that the positivity rate was still above 5 percent in most of the districts, Pole directed the DCs were to focus on Covid management instead of economic activities so that the positivity rate is brought below 5 percent by next week and below 2 percent in a month’s time.

Div Com also emphasized on proper monitoring of the patients in home isolation, and increasing the vaccination of all including employees.
