Baseer Khan inaugurates Eco huts and Cafeteria at Jammu Tawi Golf Course

JAMMU: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan today inaugurated the Eco Log Huts and Cafeteria at Jammu Tawi Golf Course Sidhra, in presence of Secretary Tourism, Sarmad Hafeez and Director Tourism Jammu Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary.

The Eco Huts with an area of 650 sq.ft each and Cafeteria with an area of 6130 sq.ft have been constructed under Prime Minister’s Development Package (I) at a cost of 1.85 crore and 127.80 lakhs respectively.

The Advisor was briefed about the facilities available at the huts. He directed the officers to make all arrangements to put the accommodation to use with all the facilities being provided to the visitors. He further directed that the water, electricity and other facilities should be up to the mark.

Advisor Baseer Khan directed the authorities to prepare existing supporting structure and mechanism in tune with the demands and the requirements of the tourists giving aesthetic value a high priority.

The Advisor expressed satisfaction over the construction of huts and said that the eco huts will have a substantial impact on the ground.

He also directed to plant ornamental plants and flowers.

The Advisor also directed for the development of other facilities there by taking into account the environmental and ornamental factors into consideration.

The officers present there suggested that a swimming pool be constructed at JTGC to which the Advisor directed them to send a detailed proposal.

The Advisor further directed for proper upkeep of the Golf Course, besides rejuvenation and beautification of the water bodies and other facilities.
