20 students from Kashmir University and its affiliated colleges will be participating in the course, which aims to train the participants in snow skiing skills, both basic and advanced.

Addressing the participants, Prof Talat underscored the importance of adventure sports in shaping up their personalities.

He said students must take active part in sports activities being organised by the university from time to time.

“I am happy to see students from both university and colleges participating in this two-week course,” he said, congratulating the Directorate for organising the course.

Prof Talat said the university is upgrading sports facilities on the campus in a big way to enable more and more students to take part in sports activities.

Coordinator, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Dr Nisar Ahmad Khan briefed the Vice-Chancellor about various components of the two-week course.

He urged the participants to remain careful and strictly follow the trainer’s instructions during the course.

Muneer Alam (Volleyball Coach) will be accompanying the contingent as the course manager.
