Baramulla: At least three residential houses were damaged due to heavy snowfall in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Official sources said that three residential houses damaged by snow belong to Syeda Raza Fatima widow of Syed Mozam shah , Syed Gulzar Hussain son Bagh Hussain residents of Dhani Syedan and Abdul Latief barwal son of Aliya Barwal of Nambla C Uri.
A gigantic walnut tree falls on the two houses of in Deni Syedna causing large scale damage, an official said.
An official said that there was no loss of life or injury reported in the incident as the villagers reached the spot immediately and rescued the families.
Tehsildar Uri Khursheed Ahmad said that instructions have been issued to a team constituted for the purpose to carry out the assessment of the damage caused by the snow.
