Srinagar: Hotel Welcome, on the banks of Dal Lake, was partially damaged as it caught fire this afternoon.
Sources said that fire broke out in one of the rooms around 1.45 pm and was put under control by 3.30 pm, sources said.
Hotel management said that 65 tourists were staying there when the incident occurred and that all of them were safe.
The management appreciated the locals and personnel of Fire and Emergency Services for rescuing the tourists and saving the structure.
