Srinagar: Citing pandemic, J&K Students Association (JKSA) has urged I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar (IKGPTU) to do away with offline mode of examination.

President JKSA, Mushtaq Ahmad, and Spokesperson, Nasir Khuehami, have also requested Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh to direct the IKGPTU authorities to conduct the examination through online mode.

Mushtaq Ahmad said that parents are wary of allowing their wards to travel because of worsening COVID situation.

Nasir Khuehami said that the students will have to travel in crowded buses and trains to reach their respective centers and thereby increasing their chances of getting COVID-19.
