Young member of Civil Society Kahipora, Tariq Ahmed Lone, passes away

Tangmarg: A young member of Civil Society Kahipora who was injured in a road accident in Tangmarg passed away on Friday morning after spending 28 days in a coma.

According to the locals, 26-year-old Tariq Ahmed Lone son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone, a resident of Kahipora Tangmarg, remained at the forefront of the welfare work of the Kahipora village.

They said that Lone had met with an accident when a vehicle hit him at Druroo, leaving him critically injured. “He was shifted to sub-district Hospital Tangmarg but his condition was critical and doctors referred him to SKIMS where he underwent head surgery but went into a coma during the surgery and remained in a coma for about 28 days and passed away on Friday,” they added.

Meanwhile, political and social organizations of Tangmarg have expressed their grief over the untimely death of Lone. They expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
