Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested two drug peddlers including a lady and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said.
“A Police Party headed by SHO PS Kulgam under the Supervision of DySP HQRs Kulgam raided a residential house belonging to Ghulam Mohammad Laway at Chawalgam Kulgam. During search, officers were able to recover 2.5Kgs of Charas from the possession of two persons including a lady,” said the spokesman.
They have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Laway and his wife Shameema, both residents of Chawalgam Kulgam. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Kulgam where they remain in custody.
“Accordingly, case FIR number 280/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been initiated,” added the spokesman.
