Burglary case solved in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar: Police in Kulgam solved a burglary case by arresting one accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property worth lakhs on his disclosure, said a police spokesman.

“Police Station Kulgam received several complaints about burglary incidents within the jurisdiction of PS Kulgam. Accordingly, case FIR No. 188/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Kulgam and investigation was set into motion,” the spokesperson said.

“During the course of investigation, a Special Investigation Team was constituted. The Special Investigation Team headed by DySP HQRS Kulgam along with SHO PS Kulgam questioned many suspects. One suspect person identified as Mohsin Ahmad Ganie resident of Tamiloo Kulgam revealed his involvement,” he said.

The spokesperson further said: “On his disclosure, Kulgam police raided different locations and were able to recover a motorcycle bearing registration number PB08DE-8475 and a Scooty bearing registration number JK18B-5066. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Kulgam where he remains in custody. Further investigation of the case is in progress and more arrests and recoveries are expected.”

“Community members have appreciated the efforts made by the Kulgam police. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities,” he added.
