Pablo Picasso’s “The Bull” is an interesting example which gives an insight to simplify complex subject into an abstract form. ‘The Bull’ is a series of eleven lithographs created in 1945. It depicts the bull at various stages of abstraction, starting with a fairly realistic depiction and ending with nothing but a few lines. These lithographs depicting different stages of abstraction reveal the importance of understanding the form before making an approach to distort it.
