Back to Village-3 activities continue at Srinagar district

SRINAGAR: As the Back to Village-3 activities continued on the third consecutive day across Jammu and Kashmir, similarly several meetings were also held at Panchayat Halqa Panzinara-A and Panchayat Halqa Balhama-A of Qamarwari and Khonmoh blocks respectively of Srinagar district.

At Panzinara-A Panchayat Halqa, Special Secretary Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Riffat Arif chaired the meeting in which Agriculture Department, J&K Grameen Bank, Horticulture Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Rural Development Department, PHE, PDD, Fisheries and other line departments participated.

The villagers raised several developmental issues viz repairing and blacktopping of inner roads; electric poles for LT and HT lines, drainage and irrigation facilities in their respective areas, besides, sanction of PM Kisan and Kisan cards pending with banks, desilting of irrigation canals, Health Cards (Golden Cards), ATM facility etc.

Also, on the occasion, the visiting officer issued on-spot directions to several concerned departments to take the notice of the public issues pertaining to their respective departments.

Similarly, at Panchyat Halqa Balhama-A of Khonmoh Block, visiting officer, Senior Law Officer, Director Accounts and Treasuries, Musbat Ismail chaired a meeting and listened to the grievances and issues of the local people.

During the meeting, the locals brought various developmental matters into his notice and sought the redress of the issues.

At both the places, the visiting officers apprised the people of different government initiatives and welfare schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of rural areas.
