Tangmarg : Several villages in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg are facing shortage of drinking water.
According to the locals, the issue of drinking shortage was brought into the notice of concerned authorities of Jal Shakti Department but they didn’t pay any heed to their repeated pleas. “We are being compelled to drink impure water from streams and thereby compromising our wellbeing and health,” they said.
“We request the Lt Governor administration to depute a team of Jal Shakti Department to Tangmarg which can take first hand stock of the situation,” they added.
