Army vehicle crushes forest officer to death in Handwara

Kupwara: Four persons sustained injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in frontier Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

According to reports, the accident took place on Kupwara-Tangdar road at Bagi top when a commercial vehicle fell down into deep gorge resulting injuries to four persons.

A police officer giving details identified the injured persons as Mohammad Shafi Bajad (37), son of Sayena Bajad, a police woman Jabeena Begum (35), wife of Mohammadd Shafi Bajad, Rouf Ahmad Dar (27),  and Nazer Ahmad Dar (23), sons of Ghulam Ahmad Dar, all residents of Panzgam.

Police said the injured persons were taken to SDH Kralpora wherefrom they were referred to a hospital in Handwara for further treatment.
